October 2026 horoscope →October 2026 at a Glance
October 2026 is the month the sky asks you to revisit. Venus stations retrograde on October 3 at 8° Scorpio — the first Venus retrograde since the spring of 2025 — and it does not turn direct until November 13, backing all the way into Libra on October 25. That single fact colours everything: the New Moon at 17° Libra on October 10 is ruled by a retrograde Venus, so instead of a clean start it is a chance to restore, reconnect or recommit; the people, contracts and money questions of the last six weeks come back for a proper answer. The first week is also loud: Mars in Leo opposes Pluto on the 3rd, the Sun opposes Saturn on the 4th and Mercury meets Venus on the 6th, so tempers and truths surface early.
Mars trines Neptune; Mercury squares Mars and Pluto
A creative, idealistic start — Mars in Leo trine Neptune in Aries makes inspired action easy — undercut by Mercury in Scorpio squaring both Mars and Pluto. Sharp words, suspicion and one conversation that goes further than intended. Say the kind version.
Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio; Mars opposes Pluto
Venus reverses at 8° Scorpio until November 13. Love, money and values go under review: exes resurface, old agreements get reopened, and what you thought was settled asks to be renegotiated. Mars opposite Pluto the same day adds a power struggle — do not start one.
Sun opposes Saturn
The Libra Sun meets retrograde Saturn in Aries head-on. A no, a limit, or an authority figure who will not move. It is a reality check, not a verdict, and it passes in two days.
Mercury conjunct Venus in Scorpio
The first honest conversation of the retrograde. Mercury meets retrograde Venus at 7° Scorpio and something unsaid gets said — about feelings, money or loyalty. Listen more than you argue; you will hear this subject again in November.
New Moon in Libra
The New Moon at 17° Libra is ruled by retrograde Venus, so this is the year’s best lunation for second chances: reconciling, restoring a partnership, recommitting to a plan. Venus squares Mars the same day — desire and diplomacy pull in different directions, so plant the intention and delay the confrontation.
Pluto stations direct in Aquarius
Pluto turns direct at 3° Aquarius after five months retrograde. Power dynamics in groups, networks, technology and friendships that have been stuck since May start to move again — slowly, then all at once.
Mars trines Saturn
The most productive day of October. Mars in Leo and Saturn in Aries, both in fire, cooperate: disciplined effort pays, long projects advance, and a decision you have been putting off becomes obvious. Sign, start, commit — this is the window.
Venus retrograde squares Pluto
Retrograde Venus at 3° Scorpio squares Pluto at 3° Aquarius. Jealousy, control and financial power come up for air — in relationships and in money. The intensity is real, but so is the chance to name a pattern and end it.
Sun enters Scorpio — and meets retrograde Venus
Scorpio season begins at 5:38 am EDT, and within hours the Sun conjoins retrograde Venus at 0° Scorpio. This inferior conjunction is the heart of the retrograde: the clearest view you will get of what you want and what it costs. A relationship or money truth becomes impossible to unsee.
Mercury stations retrograde in Scorpio
Mercury reverses at 21° Scorpio until November 13, when both Mercury and Venus turn direct on the same day. With two personal planets retrograde, the last week of October is for research, review and repair — not for signing, launching or ending anything.
Venus retrograde re-enters Libra
Venus backs out of Scorpio into Libra, the sign it rules, for the rest of the retrograde. The tone of the review shifts from intimacy, jealousy and shared money to fairness, partnership and whether a relationship is actually balanced.
Full Moon in Taurus (Hunter’s Moon)
The Hunter’s Moon at 2° Taurus — 12:12 am EDT, the evening of the 25th in the west — squares Pluto. A Full Moon about possessions, security and self-worth, ruled by a retrograde Venus. What you cling to and what you are done with both become obvious. Release the second; keep the first.
Mercury retrograde squares Mars
The month closes on friction: retrograde Mercury in Scorpio squares Mars in Leo. Misread messages, a reopened argument, an impulsive reply. Reread before you send, and let Halloween be quieter than it wants to be.
